Mission

The mission of the Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Science Program is to provide students with a high-quality, thorough, and meaningful science education and experiences that will enable learners to use their newly learned skills and knowledge and to rely on their personal qualities to succeed within the constraints of their abilities and chosen educational goals in order to lead fulfilling lives and contribute to the growth of their communities.

Vision

The Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Science Program aims to produce graduates with potentials enhanced by national, global, and multicultural perspectives who are responsible citizens and lifelong learners, equipped with scientific knowledge and skills to ensure their proficiency in the various fields of specialization, and who are ready for career advancement.

Goals

1.Create educational resources that are effective and comprehensive to satisfy the demands of a society that is becoming more information- and knowledge-focused.
2.Provides students the research abilities and skills they need for further education.
3.Promote social responsibility and compassion for the underprivileged among students, establish a culture of community services with partner institutions.

Objective

In accordance with the vision, and mission of the college, Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) program (Based on CMO 30 series of 2004), aims to produce highly committed, innovative and well-rounded teachers who:

1. demonstrate mastery of the K to 12 science content, their connections and applications.
2. Utilize a variety of teaching techniques and methods while incorporating contemporary technology to create teaching and learning activities and conduct accurate assessments of student learning.
3. Design, contextualize, and innovate educational resources that are responsive to the learners' evolving requirements.
4. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in written, oral, and visual formats in both technical and non-technical settings.
5. Exhibit knowledge on contemporary issues and trends in science education.
6. have creativity and innovation in applying alternative teaching approaches while demonstrating basic and higher-level literacy, communication, numeracy, critical thinking, and learning skills to include research skills needed for higher learning.
7. are willing and capable to continue learning in order to fulfill their mission as teacher while upholding and practicing the professional and ethical requirements of the teaching profession.
