RMMC Strengthens Global Ties at AppliedHE Xchange in Bali, Indonesia

Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) continues to expand its global footprint by participating in the AppliedHE Xchange: UNS @ Bali seminar, held from February 23 to 25, 2025, at the InterContinental Bali Resort, Indonesia. This prestigious event, hosted by Universitas Sebelas Maret ( UNS ), brought together higher education leaders worldwide to foster collaboration and innovation in academia.

RMMC was proudly represented by Dr. Geraldine D. Rodriguez, Executive Director for Academic Affairs; Dr. Emie DA. Genton, Graduate School Program Dean; and Sir Christian Jay P. Fajartin, International Linkage Coordinator. Their active participation underscores RMMC’s commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration.

A highlight of the seminar was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between RMMC and Universitas Sebelas Maret. This agreement aims to strengthen institutional ties and foster collaboration in research, faculty and student exchanges, and academic innovation. The MoU signifies a shared vision of enhancing global academic networks and preparing students for the demands of a rapidly changing world.

Present during the MoU signing from Universitas Sebelas Maret ( UNS ) were Prof. Hartono, Rector; Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, Vice Rector; and Dr. Rita Rakmawati, further emphasizing the commitment of both institutions to fostering long-term collaboration and academic innovation.

The partnership marks a significant step in RMMC's journey to globalize education and offer students and faculty international opportunities. Through this collaboration, the institution aims to promote knowledge exchange and enhance academic programs to meet global standards.

The seminar covered vital themes, including bridging the academia-industry gap, aligning academic programs with global job market needs, and leveraging university rankings to enhance employability. Specialized workshops focused on best practices in alumni engagement, internationalization, and sustainable academic growth, providing actionable strategies for participating institutions.

RMMC representatives engaged in in-depth discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, gaining valuable insights to strengthen the college's academic programs. The AppliedHE Xchange offered a unique platform to collaborate with international institutions and learn from global best practices.
