The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BS Nursing) program under the College of Allied Health Sciences at Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) has received official government recognition, as confirmed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through Resolution No. 514-2024. This recognition is effective for the academic year 2024-2025 and follows a rigorous evaluation conducted on July 16, 2024, by the CHED Technical Panel for Nursing Education.
The evaluation panel was led by Dr. Annabelle Borromeo and included esteemed members such as Dr. Mila Delia Llanes, Dr. Rosanna Grace Belo Delariarte, and Ms. Aillen Rachel Delina from CHED's Office of Programs and Standards Development (OPSD). Additionally, members from CHED Region XII's Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT), including Dr. Zohrahaydah Panawidan, Dr. Aries Baldonado, and Dr. Annabelle Dafielmoto, participated in the assessment process.
Dr. Clyde Cyril L. Baculio, Dean of the College, expressed that the issuance of this government recognition is a testament to the commitment of the school administration and the entire RMMC community to excellence in healthcare education. Dr. Kristoffer Franz Mari R. A recent meeting focused on social mobilization and demand generation for immunization was held by the Department of Health CHD 12, featuring key representatives including Mr. Arjohn Gangoso, RN, Health Education and Promotion Officer III, Dr. Clyde Cyril L. Baculio, Dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences, Dr. Geraldine D. Rodriguez, Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Mr. Gangoso outlined the primary objective of the collaborative program: to amplify accurate information about immunization within the community. He stressed the crucial role of medical students in various areas, including:
1. Community Education: Engaging the public to enhance understanding of immunization benefits.
2. Advocacy: Promoting health initiatives and encouraging community involvement.
3. Data Collection and Monitoring: Gathering essential health data to inform future health strategies.

The Departmental Orientation for the College of Allied Health Sciences took place on August 7, 2024, at the EMR Theater, specifically designed for incoming medical students under COAHS. The event was divided into morning and afternoon sessions and was attended by students from the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Bachelor of Science in Midwifery programs.
Dr. Clyde Cyril L. Baculio, RN, the Dean of the College, delivered an inspiring message encouraging students to strive for excellence as they begin their academic journey. The orientation featured several key speakers, including:

Other notable attendees included Ms. Rosario Donsol, RN, RM, MN, the Program Director for BS Midwifery, along with faculty members Ms. Cristine Paulio, RPh, Ms. Decy Jan Pedregoza, RPh, and Mr. Ariel Arado, RPh.
