(RMMC, Inc.) warmly welcomed the much-awaited annual Paskuhan sa RMMC on December 5 at the RMMC Main Campus. Anchored on the theme โCelebrating 65 Years of LightโWhere Art, Faith, and Community Shine as One,โ the opening day began with heightened energy as RMMCians joined the Fun Run and Zumba-Saya early in the morning. Throughout the day, religious gatherings were held for Catholic, Muslim, and non-Catholic constituents of the institution. As the evening activities began, Maโam Ailene Grace T. Montejo, MA, Director of the Student Services Office (SSO), expressed her heartfelt welcome to the RMMC community as she officially declared the opening of Paskuhan and the symbolic lighting of the RMMC Christmas Village. โToday, we gather as one community to celebrate Paskuhan sa RMMC 2025, a tradition that brings us together in the spirit of joy, generosity, and togethernessโฆ May tonightโs celebration remind us of the values that bind us as one RMMC familyโunity, compassion, and hope, especially in this season of giving,โ she said. She also highlighted that this yearโs celebration marks a significant milestone, as RMMC commemorates its 65th Founding Anniversary since its establishment in 1960. โโฆFor sixty-five years, RMMC has stood as a home of learning, service, and excellence. And today, as we light up our campus with festive colors and Christmas cheer, we honor not only our traditions but also the peopleโour students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partnersโwho continue to give life and purpose to our beloved institution,โ she conveyed. Performances by the RMMC Himig Chorale, Marching Band, and Teatro Ambahanon also filled the evening with excitement, showcasing pieces that captured the true Christmas spirit. The ceremony likewise featured competitions that highlighted the creativity and warmth of the holiday season, with RMMCians participating in the Christmas Chorale, Paskuhan Storytelling, and Parol Making contests. As the opening day drew to a close, Supreme Student Council (SSC) Auditor Celeste T. Tagaro delivered her closing remarks, formally concluding the kick-off celebration. Paskuhan sa RMMC will run from December 5 to 22, featuring numerous events, including Pamaskong Handog, all aimed at fostering the holiday spirit through meaningful and engaging activities.
