RMMC at the CHEDRO XII Celebration of ASEAN Expo 2023: Celebrating Education, Culture, and Collaboration In a celebration spanning from September 12 to 14, 2023, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XII hosted the ASEAN Expo 2023, aligning with the commemoration of the 56th ASEAN Founding Anniversary. The event emphasized ASEAN's role as a symbol of peace and stability in the region, focusing on this year's theme, "ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth." The first day of the ASEAN 2023 Expo began at KCC Mall of Marbel, where public and private higher education institutions (HEIs) from Region XII participated enthusiastically. The event featured lively presentations and interactive displays that showcased the diverse educational offerings of the participating HEIs per cluster, highlighting their contributions to regional development and educational progress. On the second day of the ASEAN 2023 Expo, hosted at CHED Regional Office XII, a vibrant ASEAN Food Fair took center stage. This event celebrated the culinary diversity of ASEAN countries, featuring nine higher education institutions from Region XII as they prepared an exciting array of street foods, allowing visitors to savor the rich flavors of ASEAN nations. It became a platform for cultural exchange and appreciation, using food as a universal language to promote understanding among attendees. The last day marked the culmination of the ASEAN 2023 Expo at KCC Mall of Marbel in Koronadal City. CHEDRO XII organized a closing program and awarding ceremony to conclude the three-day event. This gathering underscored the collaborative spirit among HEIs in the region and left a significant impression on all participants who supported CHEDRO XII's ASEAN initiatives. During the awarding ceremony, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges was recognized, receiving three plaques of appreciation. RMMC earned recognition for the People's Choice Award in the Webtoon Art Competition, another for active participation in the ASEAN Food Fair, and lastly, for continued involvement in CHEDRO XII's events.
