RMMC Strengthens Global Engagement Through AppliedHE Seminars Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) reaffirmed its commitment to global academic excellence by participating in two AppliedHE seminars in February 2025. These events provided valuable insights into strengthening academia-industry collaboration, curriculum development, and international partnerships, ensuring that RMMC remains aligned with global educational trends. From February 23 to 25, a delegation from RMMC attended the AppliedHE Xchange: UNS @ Bali, hosted by Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) at the InterContinental Bali Resort, Indonesia. Representing RMMC were Dr. Geraldine D. Rodriguez, Executive Director for Academic Affairs; Dr. Emie DA. Genton, Graduate School Program Dean; and Sir Christian Jay P. Fajartin, International Linkage Coordinator. The seminar gathered higher education leaders from various countries to discuss strategies for bridging the academia-industry gap, aligning academic programs with evolving job market demands, and leveraging university rankings to highlight employability-focused education. Additionally, specialized workshops on alumni engagement and internationalization provided institutions with actionable strategies to strengthen global connections and enhance their academic influence. Following the Bali conference, RMMC continued its participation in the AppliedHE Xchange Manila Workshop 2025 on February 27-28 at The Bellevue Manila Hotel. Sir Christian Jay P. Fajartin represented the institution in this event, which focused on the theme "Global Reach, Local Impact: Leveraging Alumni Networks for Internationalization." The workshop highlighted the importance of alumni as institutional ambassadors, offering insights into building stronger international networks, fostering industry collaborations, and expanding Philippine higher education’s global footprint. Discussions centered on best practices for engaging alumni in meaningful ways to support institutional development and enhance student opportunities. By attending these AppliedHE seminars, RMMC gained valuable perspectives on global educational trends and best practices that will help refine its academic programs and strengthen its international collaborations.
