IN PHOTOS | RMMC Earthquake Drill and Fire Safety Seminar Ready for an emergency? You can be! In conduct of the 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges, Inc. (RMMC, Inc.) orchestrated an Earthquake Drill and Fire Safety Seminar at RMMC Main Campus at 2:00 PM on September 11, 2025. Organized by the RMMC Crisis Response Team (CRT), the seminar began with the warm salutations of Dr. Marnie J. Besas, RCrim, Deputy Chief Marshal of CRT, followed by the introduction of speakers led by Mr. Jason T. Alesna, RCrim, Chief Marshal. Further, the plenary featured a discussion on fire safety and readiness headed by officers from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) β FO3 Henry T. Sebios and FO1 Edito T. Poloyapoy Jr., from BFP Region 12, General Santos City. During the discourse, the participants were taught about: β Fundamentals of Fire Safety and Prevention β Understanding Fire Behavior and Common Causes of Fire β Proper Use and Maintenance of Fire Extinguishers β Emergency Evacuation Procedures β Basic Firefighting Techniques Prior to this, RMMCians engaged in an earthquake drill and observed a live demonstration of first aid treatment in case of a calamity performed by the RMMC Health Emergency and Response Team (H.E.A.R.T). Concluding the activity, Mr. Rafael B. Quibierne, RCrim, a Safety and Health Officer, delivered his closing remarks acknowledging the school administration for their support as well as the students for their active participation. In relation to this, the institution of RMMC expresses its gratitude to Dr. Kristoffer Franz Mari R. Milado, College President, for allowing this opportunity to be administered. Gratitude is also extended to the guest speakers from BFP Region 12, General Santos City, for sharing their knowledge, and to the RMMC Criminology Internship Unit (RMMC-CIU) for assisting with the event.
