RMMC Math Society Spreads Love and Hope at Life Home Mindanao The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) Mathematics Society of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) demonstrated compassion in action through its outreach initiative, “A Day of Giving Love and Igniting Hope,” held on June 1, 2024, at Life Home Mindanao, Inc., General Santos City. The event embodied the organization’s strong commitment to community service and social responsibility. Guided by Program Coordinator Sir Gerald Ryan O. Reburcio, MS, LPT, the Math Society Officers and members extended warmth and support to children in the orphanage by distributing basic necessities, snacks, and meals. The program went beyond providing material aid—it sought to uplift the spirits of the beneficiaries, instill hope, and foster meaningful human connections. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1 (No Poverty), 2 (Zero Hunger), 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), the outreach emphasized inclusivity, empathy, and shared responsibility. This heartwarming initiative not only brightened the day of the children but also inspired the organizers to continue championing acts of kindness. By nurturing a spirit of generosity and unity, the BSED Mathematics Society reaffirmed its mission to create a positive impact in the community and to build a more compassionate, equitable society.
