Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
The Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) is a four-year degree program that trains students in the preparation, dispensing, and proper use of medications. It combines biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences with clinical and practical training to ensure safe, effective, and ethical pharmacy practice. The curriculum includes courses in pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, hospital and community pharmacy, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical jurisprudence, and clinical pharmacy. Students also undergo internship programs in hospital, community, industrial, and regulatory pharmacy settings. Graduates are eligible to take the Pharmacist Licensure Examination and pursue careers as licensed pharmacists in hospitals, drugstores, pharmaceutical companies, regulatory agencies, research institutions, and academia. The program also provides a strong foundation for advanced studies in clinical pharmacy, pharmacology, or pharmaceutical sciences.
