Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science
The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BSES) is a four-year interdisciplinary program that focuses on the study of the environment and the complex interactions between humans and natural systems. It equips students with scientific, technical, and analytical skills to address environmental issues such as pollution, climate change, biodiversity loss, and natural resource management. The curriculum covers key areas including ecology, environmental chemistry, environmental impact assessment, geographic information systems (GIS), waste management, and sustainability practices. Fieldwork, research, and community engagement are also integral parts of the program. Graduates are prepared for careers as environmental scientists, sustainability officers, pollution control officers, conservationists, environmental educators, or researchers in government agencies, NGOs, and private organizations. The program also serves as a solid foundation for advanced studies in environmental and related sciences.
