Bachelor of Physical Education
The Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) is a four-year degree program that prepares students to become effective and knowledgeable physical education teachers and sports professionals. It focuses on the promotion of physical fitness, motor skills development, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles through physical activity and sports. The curriculum covers areas such as human anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, motor learning, individual and team sports, dance and rhythmic activities, exercise science, and teaching strategies in physical education. It also includes practice teaching and field experiences in school and community settings. Graduates are equipped to teach Physical Education in basic education, and may also pursue careers as coaches, fitness trainers, sports program coordinators, dance instructors, or work in recreational and wellness programs. The program qualifies graduates to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
