Bachelor of Culture and the Arts Education
The Bachelor of Culture and the Arts Education (BCAEd) is a four-year degree program designed to prepare students to become competent and creative educators specializing in culture, heritage, and the arts. The program integrates pedagogical training with in-depth study of Philippine and global cultural traditions, visual and performing arts, indigenous knowledge systems, and creative industries. The curriculum includes courses in cultural theory, arts appreciation, curriculum development, educational technology, and teaching methodologies specific to the cultural and artistic disciplines. It also involves practicum and teaching internships in basic education or community-based cultural programs. Graduates are qualified to become culture and arts educators, curriculum specialists, cultural workers, community arts organizers, or pursue careers in museums, cultural institutions, and heritage preservation agencies. The program also prepares graduates to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), particularly for those aiming to teach in the Kâ12 arts and culture track.
