Bachelor of Early Childhood Education

The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd) is a four-year degree program designed to prepare future educators with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to effectively teach and care for young children from birth to age eight. The program focuses on child development, early learning principles, instructional strategies, classroom management, play-based learning, and inclusive education. It also includes practical training through field studies and student teaching in preschool and early elementary settings. Graduates of BECEd are equipped to become preschool and early grade teachers, child development specialists, daycare administrators, or curriculum developers for early childhood programs. The program also qualifies graduates to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and pursue careers in both public and private early learning institutions.
