RMMC and DOH-XII Strengthen Immunization Awareness Through Student Symposium The College of Allied Health Science (COAHS) of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC), in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH) – Center for Health Development XII, conducted a symposium titled Social Mobilization and Demand Generation on Immunization. The event supported the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education). The symposium aimed to raise awareness about the vital role of immunization in protecting communities and promoting overall health. Representatives from the DOH and UNICEF shared valuable insights on current immunization efforts and public health strategies. RMMC President, Dr. Kristoffer Franz Mari R. Millado, delivered an inspiring message underscoring the institution’s dedication to advancing health education and community welfare. In addition to expert-led discussions, students actively participated in digital poster-making and short video competitions focused on vaccine awareness. These activities encouraged creativity, advocacy, and critical thinking among participants. The initiative not only enhanced students’ understanding of immunization but also equipped them with the practical knowledge and ethical responsibility to promote health in both clinical and community contexts. Through this partnership-driven symposium, RMMC reaffirmed its commitment to integrating education, advocacy, and action in addressing public health challenges—empowering future healthcare professionals to contribute to a healthier, well-informed society.
