(RMMC) joined other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for a workshop organized by HINABI GenSan at Holy Trinity College – Trinidad Complex, together with award-winning journalist and media icon Prof. Kara C. David. In her talk about “Leadership & Volunteerism: The Power of Malasakit,” Ms. Kara highlighted the essence of true leadership, defining it as someone who serves the majority—steadfast and relentless—as long as there is someone in need. She also said, “Leadership is about inspiring and empowering other people towards change.” Ms. Kara also presented documentaries highlighting the current conditions of marginalized people in the Philippines and how poverty and corruption continue to crumple Filipinos within. Furthermore, Dr. Norman Ralph B. Isla, the MSU Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Services, apprised the participants about the growing concerns of worsening climate change, illegal mining activities, corruption, and poverty, and how the resolve of the new generation dissipates what has become a cancer in society. This activity reaffirms Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges, Inc.’s commitment to empowering its students through service. With HOPE PINOY: Talks on Volunteerism, may it serve its purpose as a stepping stone towards inspiring the new generation into taking action with firm determination as the hope of society. RMMC would like to thank its constituents for spearheading the production team of this activity. #RMMC #HinabiGensan #PassionForExcellence #CommitmentToService
