Student Leaders Convene for the Leadership Camp 2025 Inviting the finest leaders of college student councils and organizations of the institution, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges, Inc. (RMMC) organized the Leadership Camp held at Camp Mariano, Brgy. Saravia, Koronadal City, from September 1 to 2. With the theme “Leading Together: Strength in Unity and Purpose,” the leadership camp featured a series of plenary sessions conducted throughout. Speaker Coach Julius Paler, leading the line-up, discussed the importance of composure amid setbacks. During his talk, students had the opportunity to share their key takeaways about leadership excellence. Turning the event into a splendid leadership camp, Mr. John Salvador Demdam, known for his legacy of good governance during his term as the SK Calumpang Chairperson and SK Federation President, engaged the student leaders in a meaningful seminar that tackled parliamentary procedure, council acts, and professional communication. In a heartfelt seminar session, Pastor Anthony Magquilat stressed the importance of being grounded in morals and values as a student leader. His lecture delivered a deep reflection, inspiring emotional realizations among students. Filled with enthusiasm and confidence, the students displayed outstanding leadership as they participated in the team-building activity, racing for victory in a series of competitions. They also performed a mock skit about leadership during the “Leaders Got Talent” segment, showcasing their creativity and unique leadership dispositions. Marking the end of the plenary sessions, Speaker Mr. Edward Lacanilao Zurriaga, Founder and CEO of Batang Star Philippines Inc., emphasized accountability and ethical leadership, explaining how these principles help student leaders build credibility grounded in integrity. As such, to lead is not merely a title to fill—it is a bridge serving as a beacon to inspire and influence others. More than anything, it is a critical role that demands not just responsibility and accountability, but the willingness to serve in the name of others. This milestone marks a pivotal point in a series of leadership seminars to be carried out by RMMC throughout Academic Year 2025–2026. With this activity, RMMC steadfastly commits to nurturing brilliant future leaders of good governance, public service, and non-government organizations in pursuit of excellence and commitment to service. We also acknowledge the Student Services Office (SSO) for making this activity a success, as well as the RMMC Reserve Officers Training Corps (RMMC-ROTC) for assisting with the event. #RMMCLeadershipCamp2025 #PassionForExcellence #CommitmentToService
