RMMC COLLEGE OF CIVIL ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY FACULTY MEMBERS SHINE IN REGIONAL RESEARCH FORUM Showcasing Innovation and Sustainability in Civil Engineering Research Two faculty members from the Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) – College of Civil Engineering and Technology (CET) proudly represented the institution on October 28, 2025 at the 13th Data Dissemination and Research Utilization Forum held in Region XII, themed “Accelerating the SDGs Phase of Progress: Mobilizing Data for Action.” Engr. Renante C. Orang, with co-authors Engr. Tagolanao and Engr. Tungantong, presented the study titled “Sawdust as a Partial Replacement for Sand to Concrete,” which promotes sustainable and cost-efficient construction materials by utilizing sawdust waste. Meanwhile, Engr. Maria Ysabella Moscoso, with co-authors Engr. Abo and Cabuhay, presented “Mechanical Properties of Asphalt with Polyester as Additive,” focusing on the use of recycled polyester fibers to enhance road durability and environmental sustainability. The RMMC Research, Extension, and External Development Office (REEDO) commended both faculty members for showcasing the college’s strong research culture and innovation in civil engineering. Special appreciation was also extended to Engr. Mark Lehi Palmes for his unwavering support and guidance throughout the preparation and presentation. Through active participation in research forums, RMMC continues to uphold its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and sustainable development, empowering future engineers to contribute to nation-building.
