The 13th Professional Summit, held on October 15–16, 2024, with the theme “5 for 17 Matters: Filipino Professionals Responding to Global Economic Challenges,” brought together leaders and professionals to discuss sustainable solutions to pressing economic issues. The summit underscored the crucial contributions of Filipino professionals in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—specifically SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through its participation, the Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) demonstrated its continued dedication to global citizenship and sustainable development. By sending Graduate School professors to represent the institution, RMMC emphasized the importance of professional development, knowledge exchange, and cross-sector collaboration in addressing both local and international challenges. This active engagement allowed RMMC educators to gain deeper insights into emerging global trends, economic resilience, and innovative practices, which will further enrich the institution’s academic and professional framework. The event also reinforced RMMC’s mission of cultivating socially responsible leaders capable of contributing to sustainable and inclusive growth. By aligning with the SDGs and engaging in global forums, RMMC continues to position itself as a forward-thinking institution committed to shaping professionals who drive meaningful change in society and the world.
