CHED XII Hosts i-Rank Program to Boost HEIs’ Global Competitiveness The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XII successfully conducted the i-Rank: Advancing Global Competitiveness – A Coaching and Mentoring Program on International Rankings last October 28–29, 2025 in Amethyst Hall, Phela Grande Hotel, General Santos City, gathering higher education leaders and experts dedicated to elevating global standards in education. Representing Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges, Inc., Sir Christian Jay P. Fajartin, MAEd, LPT, International Linkage Office Director, served as one of the resource speakers for the session on “Understanding Global Rankings Frameworks, Metrics, and Best Practices in World University Rankings for Innovation.” Also in attendance was Ms. Mariton P. Cueme, LPT, ILO Ranking Coordinator. This two-day capacity-building event, pursuant to Republic Act 7722 or the Higher Education Act of 1994, aimed to enhance the competencies of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Region XII through practical mentoring on data-driven planning, international collaboration, and institutional improvement—key components in achieving global visibility and competitiveness.
