RMMC Joins “Padyak sa Dose” to Promote Health and Climate Action Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges – General Santos (RMMC-GenSan) actively participated in “Padyak sa Dose,” a large-scale community health initiative led by CHED Chairman Dr. Prospero E. De Vera. This event, aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action), sought to promote physical wellness, sustainable living, and environmental awareness through a scenic biking route that stretched from NDDU-Glamang to MalaSci-Malapatan via UST-Gensan. More than 100 criminology intern-bikers from RMMC-GenSan’s College of Criminal Justice took part in the activity, showcasing their commitment to health, discipline, and community engagement. They were joined by Dean Dr. Marnie J. Besas, Practicum Supervisor Prof. July Jean L. Solis, Mr. Ereck Jun Pestaño, and other CIU instructors, who provided strong leadership and guidance throughout the ride. Beyond advocating fitness and camaraderie, “Padyak sa Dose” highlighted the role of educational institutions in advancing both individual well-being and environmental consciousness. The event demonstrated how RMMC-GenSan and its partners can collaboratively foster a culture of active citizenship, teamwork, and ecological responsibility, inspiring participants to become advocates of both health and sustainability.
